The Avengers believe that school districts should eliminate standardized testing because it is detrimental to students’ health and ability to continue to the next level of education. We believe there are alternatives that can be used to assess a student’s academic performance without relying on a test that will affect his or her future. Our group plans to:
- Provide these alternatives to standardized testing
- Give examples of the effects of these tests on students
- List the cons of standardized testing
- Explain why it should not be used
- Persuade our audience that the negative aspects of testing outweigh the positive aspects
